Buyers Guide: Arcade (Vol 1)

 With a new season there will be digital sales a plenty, and when I see an influx of them I will make buyers guides for certain topics and genres and so on, and this wont be one and done as I discover more games old and new, indie and triple A there will be more recommendations.. Just a few picks that you might want to add to your library, this time for games that have an arcade like feel, whether spending hours aiming for a high score or something to just pick up and play though a simple story mode, here are some arcade style recommendations.


Downwell (Multiplatform)

This game is good for one round or ten, a great fun game, where no run after feels the same.

Blitz Breaker (Steam)

This game is not only super cheap, but is fantastic, it is easy to learn, hard to master and it is a fantastic time.  This is a game that could be played in short bursts or in long sittings and is a great time.

Jump N Shoot Attack (Mobile)

Need a fun pick up and play game for your phone? This one is great!

Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle (Multiplatform)

As mentioned on this blog before, this is a great collection that goes on sale often, arcade beat em ups that can be played online with friends, this collection is a must.

Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout (Multiplatform)

A battle royale that has a great arcade feel with its very fun and easy pick up and play approach.

Slayin 2 (Switch)

A sequel to a mobile game that has many modes and is a great time, that is a great arcade style game.

Mighty Switch Force Collection (Multiplatform)

Puzzle platforming, and a puzzle mode all in but sized, fun, and challenging stages, with great music this collection is a must.

PAC Man 99 and Tetris 99 (Switch)

 I had a post about these, also these are free, so if you want an arcade style game with a new twist, these are great.
