WarioWare Get It Together Demo

There are so many games coming out this Fall even after a super busy Summer with tons of games such as Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Neo The World Ends With You, And Monster Hunter Stories 2. With the great Fall line up such as Metroid Dread, Super Monkey Ball Bananamania, and more there is also a brand new WarioWare game coming. This one centered on multiplayer, a large cast, all while still having the same whacky, fast pace style the series known for.

For those who have not played any games in this series, you play a series of fast paced mini games. Complete a simple task such as dodging or cleaning and get a point, mess up and you lose a life. The game will get faster, and harder as you go until you run our of lives, then you are scored and the process starts over. Simple, charming, whacky fun.

This game is fast approaching its early September release date, but a few weeks in advance Nintendo dropped a demo so I decided to give it a look. This demo gives you the story intro and six characters to play as. Starting you off with three to play as each with their own skills. Some characters will never stop moving or jumping while others will stay stationary. The demo gave a good variety of characters and a couple of different ways to play. The base way which has you using a team of three for the microgames and some using all the characters available. The level of progression in the demo was good which unlocked one character per round while showing what the full game had in store. The demo was fun and didn't grow stale but I will say some microgames are better suited with some characters then others.

This is an issue we may see in the final game where some games seem almost impossible with another character, due to limited or no mobility. The demo also used the same microgames over and over so even though I was using new characters the games were the same. This was fine for the demo but with the game boasting that there are more then 200 micro games coming up, maybe like three new ones added to the line up with each character you unlock would have been nice. You unlock the character and do the same games until you run out of slots, then you can use a smaller party or all of them in a line up. This was a pretty good demo that made me want to try the full game and wanting more but think they could of added a little bit more, namely a couple more micro games so the cycle could have been a tad more fresh.  The demo is free, so check it out and see if this game is worth full price or the demo may be good enough for you.
