Videogame Soundtracks I Love: Marvel V.S Capcom 2

I love all sorts of game sound tracks, from Mario to Ace Attorney gaming music is a part of the reason I love them. Songs that stay with you long after you turn the console off. Made by people who pour their heart and soul into, so from time to time I want to talk about various video game soundtracks, and today is going to be Marvel V.S Capcom 2, a classic and still very beloved fighting game.

This soundtrack is pure energy that is fitting of a fighting game and set the standard for games to come. The high energy and instrumentation of each track fitting hand in hand with the gameplay of wanting to be the last one standing. The music fits every fight perfectly, with bouncy high energy tracks that fit in perfectly with the bright and colorful, vibrant backgrounds, and flashy specials moves accompanied by the giant cast of characters.

Even the menu music fills the player with excitement and energy, the lyrics may repeat often and the music may loop quickly but it still sticks with you. Each track fits perfectly with creating a high energy, fun arcade experience from start to finish. The music tracks are iconic, whether they have lyrics or are purely instrumental. It fits perfectly with the genre it encapsulates, fast, frantic, energetic and fun.

And with all the talks of people wanting MVC2 to be ported or remastered, the soundtrack would be a focal point of discussion. I think if the game was to be remade instead of just being ported then we would need the original soundtrack because it is just that perfect.

If you want a high energy sound track that will fill you with pure hype track after track, this one is a must listen if you have never heard it. This soundtrack is great not just as a fighting game but as a game in general and is worth a listen any time, whether to study or doing chores, this soundtrack is a fantastic ride from start to finish.
