Jackbox Party Pack 8 (Bonus)

Recently I made a list of great games to play with friends, focusing on games that work well online over long distances. One of those games I highlighted was the Jackbox Party Pack series, a collection of different minigames that can be played with friends and only one copy needs to be owned, with every player needing just a web browser or their phone. From making jokes, to drawing, to trivia, there are so many fun different minigames spanning across the different packs and I am sure you will be able to find your favorites among all the options out there, and they are super fun with friends. Recently the latest pack with a whole new collection of games came out and I played some with some friends online. So I am going to talk about each game and then the party pack as a whole! So here is a fun bonus, and let's see if this pack brings the party if I am better off with the other game packs.

Drawful Animate

Most drawful games, involve drawing a picture for a prompt and trying to get people to guess yours to earn points. But whoever is not going can try and score some points by trying to write and match prompts and trick the other players. Most points at the end of the game wins, but this time you make two drawings. Even though the core gameplay is the same, it is as solid as ever, this game is tons of fun and has a tad bit extra now.

The Poll Mine

This game is best played with an even number of friends, two teams take surveys and then guess how the entire group voted to survive in this fun fantasy themed game guessing correct answers to be the last team standing and achieve victory. Guessing and discussing with your team while taking fun surveys led to a super fun game even with a smaller group, this game is a ton of fun and your friends may surprise you with how they voted, leading to a ton of fun and whacky strategies being played out.

Job Job

Easily my favorite of all the games in this pack and a hilarious and awesome time from start to finish. You fill out prompts but aim to add as many words as possible, you and your friends then take each other's answers and sort of words, as well as words from the prompt to earn votes and score the most points. Taking words and sorting them to make the funniest answer, working with what you were given and making it still make sense leads to a ton of fun and laughs.

Weapons Drawn

Another drawing game, but one where you attend a party and make murder weapons, trying to figure out who committed what murder while getting away with your own. This game is the weakest of them, as it is a fun concept but executed poorly, it is a long game and really drags. With a small group it may be a tad better but with a full crowd this one overstays its welcome, the other games have better pacing even when the lobby is full, this one is just too long and gets a tad boring.

The Wheel Of Outrageous Proportions

Fun and whacky trivia, where getting the right answer really pays, you ask a question but to get an answer you must win. To win get the most questions right, and get spaces to be placed on the wheel, make it twenty thousand points and you get another wheel spin and chance to win, but if you miss someone else can make a good spin and seize the victory. Trivia and fun wheel spinning action make this game a ton of fun, with fun ways to answer. Answers such as picking multiple answers, mix and matching, writing, where you can earn more spaces to earn more points on the wheel. There is a ton of fun and variety in this game and does trivia differently than other party packs, making this one a fun time and stand out on its own.

Overall, each game in this pack aside from one were a ton of fun, so this one stands with Packs 2,3,6 and 7 as great party games. This is a great collection to play with friends especially online, easy to play and tons of fun to be had. There is a ton of variety in this collection and some of my new favorite games to stand alongside games I have been playing for much longer, this pack is a new favorite and great addition, I highly recommend it, even though not all the games stuck with me, the rest did and made it worth the time, and I cannot wait to play with friends again and again.
