Kirby And The Forgotten Land (Demo)

This game may be coming out soon but when I saw the demo in the Eshop, I could not contain my excitement and had to give this a look. Here are my thoughts on the demo of Kirby And The Forgotten Land. Kirby is one of if not my favorite Nintendo franchise and I have been eagerly awaiting this game since it was shown, so let's see what this land has in store.

The pink puff's first true adventure in 3D, we had Kirby 64 with 3D elements and Kirby Blowout Blast as a minigame but this is the first game that is the what the series is known for in full 3D. A new threat looms and our hero must stop it. He will use his staple copy abilities which can now be upgraded, some new ones that did not appear in this demo and the new mouthful mode. Mouthful mode was playable in the demo and it is a blast, Kirby will engulf and then use certain objects such as a car, a vending machine and so one.

The demo was a good length, just giving a good taste of what is to come without giving too much away. A few cutscenes, some story beats, a couple levels, and boss fight are all in this package, with some options as well in terms of power ups and difficulty. It lasted me a good hour and I plan on playing it again, it was really fun with a great sneak peek at the content in store.

The presentation and music were top notch, looking and sounding great. The new enimies look fun to topple, and mouthful mode had me smiling ear to ear. The music was great and the gameplay felt great as well. Everything controlled well and was super fun, and the areas looked amazing as well. The gameplay and combat was fun, and it used the area you are in so well, whether power up use, exploring, combat, all of it was a blast and i wanted to find every secret or try anything. Combat against enemies large and small is fun, and the new abilities, combined with the copy abilities acting different in 3D lead to great gameplay.

I highly recommend trying the demo out, even if you plan on getting the game. It is a fun treat and was a great time, it was fun, relaxing and made me even more excited to see what the full game has to offer. This demo is worth your time, and this land when the full game released will not be forgotten so soon.
