10 Gaming Soundtracks I Want To See Come To Nintendo's Music App... (Part One)

NOTE: This post was finished and uploaded before the most recent update to the APP that added Wii Sports. (Also Yay My Number One Pick Made It Already!)

I am sure some of the content of this post will hopefully be dated in no time, even at the time of this post both Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy Kong's Quest, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder have been added to the app, so there are already additions being made to this app in less than two weeks of release, so I am hoping to see these games amazing soundtracks added to the new Nintendo music app. From what I still want to see on there but not as much as some entries ranked to what I think the app desperately needs., here are ten gaming soundtracks I want to see come to the Nintendo music app! Also these opinions are my own feel free to comment on other soundtracks you want to see on there.

10. Punch Out Series

There are a couple songs that carry between multiple Punch Out games, and a few really striking different songs, namely the style difference in Super Punch Out on SNES, but I think just dropping all three would not be the biggest leap. I think dropping multiple soundtracks a day potentially all connected in some way by a theme or series, or multiple different OSTs from different games in the same week as we have seen is not out of the realm of possibility as we have seen, and this series has some incredible songs that would be great for a workout.

9. Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards

Each planet in this game, each boss fight, brings different levels from relaxing to super hype, this soundtrack has such solid variety in it and embodies classic Kirby just as much as Kirby Super Star does. This OST has such a range and is a must for this app. When I think of a good soundtrack I like video games where I can listen to one song to get excited, and the next to just unwind as the day ends, this game excels at that.

8. The Legend Of Zelda Majora's Mask

Much like the narrative of the game, this OST is simply beautiful. Some of the songs of this game are cheery, and some are absolutely haunting, I was surprised Nintendo did not add this one for Halloween, but if they did so now, they would make it just in time for next year. From the town and milk bar, to the final confrontation, Majora's Mask OST tells a sweeping story full of so many complex and powerful emotions

7. Kirby Planet Robobot

This game may have remixes but it also has some incredible synth style music, big sweeping boss songs, and much like Kirby 64, an impressive range. This game has really solid takes on Kirby classics while also providing a ton of new tracks to stand on their own, this game not only should be played because it is amazing, its soundtrack should be heard.

6. Arms

This OST is hype and would fire people up, myself included! The songs are high energy from the get go with the main theme fitting the tournment setting perfectly. Arms has many great songs in it across its OST aside from the main theme and it would be great to have them take the main stage on this APP. Perfect work out music or just to run errands to while keeping the energy up, ARMS OST has quite a good reach... and not just because they are made of springs.

5. The Legend Of Zelda A Link Between Worlds

This game has a sweeping score, from the feilds to the dungeons, the music in this game tells of an epic journey. Lowrule Castel ALONE is reason enough for this majestic OST to be on the APP but there are so many other great songs, from calm to sweeping orchestras, this soundtrack is as epic as the journey Link must go on to save the day.

4. Super Mario 3D World And Bowsers Fury

From the big band music to the instense rock, this OST is one of Mario's best in my personal opinion. Each level theme telling a different story and fitting perfectly, invoking feelings of joy and whismy, and the new music for Bowser's Fury should be incldued as well. The music of this game is one of a kind, and it's big band jazz style makes it stand out fantastically. This OST is one of my faveorites and I think it would make a great addition alongside the Mario content already added to this APP and shows how varied Mario games OSTs can be in the best way possible. Like differnt flavors of Ice Cream there are no wrong answers when picking Mario music.

3. I Would Take Any Smash Brothers OST.. But Ultimate Would Be Cool

I know there is a chance some songs would not make it because of the music being a third party, but from the menu music to title screens, to the remixes, there is still enough first-party content to be satisfied. There are so many amazing songs and then amazing takes on said amazing songs in these games, there are so many great original tracks to listen to and extend. This one is the big one, this is the big dream that I am not holding my breath for, but would love to see.

2. Mario And Luigi Bowsers Inside Story (Original Not Remake)

At the time of this list, Mario And Luigi Brothership has just hit store shelves, what better way to celebrate than to release the best Mario RPG soundtracks ever. From the amazing world music to the looming and mysterious tones of Bowser's body to the epic boss music. The final boss theme alone would be a great addition, but there are so many amazing tracks of so many different styles to not have the whole OST. This game has such amazing music from tutorials to the varied environments you traverse, all beautifully composed by a videogame music legend. This one to me, is an absolute must!

1. Wii Sports AND Wii Sports Resort

We have the Wii Channels already which is amazing, but now we need the final piece. These games with their unique sounds and styles have brought so many positive memories to people's lives, mine included and should stand alongside the channels. From the main themes to the menu music hidden away that are so soothing, these games much like the channels would not only be great listens, but would unlock childhood memories in so many. I know it would for me at least. The music is so chill and so memorable, bringing back to afternoons playing alone or with friends and family.

There are so many options with this APP, there are so many amazing soundtracks invoking so many emotions across generations, from the NES to now with the Switch. So many different series from epic battle themes, to upbeat level jaunts, the sky is truly the limit with this APP and I hope to see these and so many more to come to it in the near future.
