Dicey Dungeons: A Tale Of Luck And Dice

The roguelike genre is not one that I am the fondest of. If someone likes it, I am glad they do, but for me the main appeal of losing all progress and starting over never stood out to me. I tried Spelunky 2 when it came out and never made it past the third floor before calling it 1quits. I enjoy watching other people play and conquer these games known for challenge, but aside from Flinthook there are not many titles in this genre that click with me. This one did as well though, a game of dice, cards and chance. Where you pick from multiple classes with different skills to learn and try to win, this is Dicey Dungeons. This game greets you with the host, Lady Luck herself as you are on her T.V show, the name of the game, beat the boss and earn your prize. Or so it is made to be that simple but there is more then meets the die.. I mean eye. You take control of people transformed into sentient dice as you traverse each stage as it is an episode for the show. The game is bright and has a g

Gaming T-Shirts

Sometimes you need to show the world you are a gamer and when you do that, nothing works better then a graphic tee. A shirt showing your favorite franchises, game, or something else you care about. Sometimes from a website or the developer in general or other times someone who paid for the licensed prosperity to distribute. And others times neither and you can tell. What used to be something I could only find at conventions or a specifically shop has now popped up everywhere and I own more then a few gaming related T-shirts. Today I want to talk about them, and feel free to share about some of your favorite shirts that you have if you would like. Today you could go to any variety store, clothing store, or even grocery store that sell other items on top of food, and will more then likely come across a gaming shirt of some kind. From appealing to retro gamers with an older system on it, to something more modern like Minecraft. Many shirts like to be cool and add a phrase like "Old

Game Or Pass? Dodgeball Academia

Welcome to a new series for the blog called Game or Pass where I pick a game from Gamepass on Xbox and decide if I enjoyed it, will continue it if the game is longer and is a larger title, or maybe purchase it if it is leaving the service. I got an Xbox and Gampass is one of the best deals to come with it, there are so many indie games, day one releases, and more to discover with the service. So, it's time to put that to use and see if today's title is worth a download, or a purchase if it is available on your console of choice. Today's game is Dodgeball Academia, a dodgeball game with RPG elements, and more than a few surprises up its sleeves.  This game puts you in control of Otto who has come to the Dodgeball Academy, meet friends, form a team and compete to become the best of the best. But that is just scratching the surface, this game is full of whacky, unexpected moments which end up being just different excuses to play dodgeball. That being said the writing is fun,

Nintendo Switch Sports (100th Post Special)

Image
(Image Source: Gamestop) Less than a week ago we were given a new entry in the Wii Sports line of games, and many people, me included, have been playing this over the weekend. So does this stack up to the original pack in title, or the amazing island set sequel? There was also the Wii U one but I never played that so I am going purely off of as someone who played Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort a ton growing up. It's time to stand a safe distance from the T.V, grab our controls, and flail our arms to victory in Nintendo Switch Sports. This game gives you six sports to play, Chambara which is a foam sword-based duel, Volleyball, Soccer for us who live stateside, Badminton, Tennis, and the MVP of the package, Bowling. Bowling was my favorite back then, and it still is now, oh my goodness bowling is still incredible. There are only two ways to play as this game is all motion controls with minimal button inputs, aside from that there are no button controls so handled mode is not an
