I Rented The Wild Robot To See What The Hype Is All About (Spoiler Free)

I have a love-hate relationship with movies coming to streaming so soon, sometimes it feels like it is undercutting its time at the theater, but it also has its benefits, like in the case of today. Life has been busy and I still have yet to find the time to see this film, it was announced to be coming to Peacock and Netflix eventually, but for the price of two tickets, I can watch it now, and so I decided to. I want to see the hype behind the Wild Robot, so I rented it, and here are my spoiler-free thoughts.  If I could describe this movie in one word, it is wholesome. There is some dark humor, and some funny moments as well, but this movie is ultimately very sweet and heartwarming. When a robot finds herself dropped onto an island, and interacting with the wildlife, being task-driven she is given the ultimate task in life, parenting when a baby duck falls into her care. There is more but that is just the basic run down I am going to give, and I will not be diving too deep in...

My Top Ten Modern Disney Songs So Far

Moana 2 Is almost out, and I quite enjoyed the first one, when people talk about Disney music, there are so many songs to talk about. Plenty that have lasted for decades and been performed in countless formats. I plan on talking about my all-time favorites, but because Moana 2 is coming, I thought I would talk about some of the songs from modern Disney films that I listen to often. Songs I have sung along to, related with, and been moved by. I am going to start from "Tangled" up until "Wish" which I say would be the introduction of a new era of Disney and a new art style for the movies. Disney has been doing a mix of musical and non-musical movies, such as " Big Hero 6" and "Zootopia". One ground rule, the song has to be performed in the movie, the movie needs to have more than one song, and it needs to be tied to a plot or character, so "Try Anything" from "Zootopia" does not qualify as the movie is a not a musical. This is ...

10 Gaming Soundtracks I Want To See Come To Nintendo's Music App... (Part One)

NOTE: This post was finished and uploaded before the most recent update to the APP that added Wii Sports. (Also Yay My Number One Pick Made It Already!)  I am sure some of the content of this post will hopefully be dated in no time, even at the time of this post both Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy Kong's Quest, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder have been added to the app, so there are already additions being made to this app in less than two weeks of release, so I am hoping to see these games amazing soundtracks added to the new Nintendo music app. From what I still want to see on there but not as much as some entries ranked to what I think the app desperately needs., here are ten gaming soundtracks I want to see come to the Nintendo music app! Also these opinions are my own feel free to comment on other soundtracks you want to see on there.  10. Punch Out Series There are a couple songs that carry between multiple Punch Out games, and a few really striking different songs, namely the...

Nintendos Music App: First Impressions

I have not talked about anything gaming-related on here for a while, and I want to change that, amidst movies, shows, music, or whatever I feel like talking about here, I want to bring video games back on the table (Which is also how this blog started). Something that came out of nowhere this past week was Nintendo dropping a music app for NSO (Nintendo Switch Online) members at no cost. There is no AD model or a premium one, it is just the music as is and it comes with your subscription, so far there is music ranging from current Switch titles to Wii Channels and even the NES. Some Mario, Animal Crossing, Kirby, Zelda, and more, so what do I think? Let's download this app and find out!  The app is modeled as a standard music app and works as such. You can mark favorites, make playlists, and extend some songs, not all but some. You can extend a song to 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour, causing one of my minor gripes I will get into later. Overall the presentation of this ap...
