Wii Sports Memories

With Switch Sports Club coming this week, I thought before looking at that game, to look back at the series it came from. With some sports carried over, and even the Mii characters that debuted in those titles returning, I might as well go down memory lane. The pack in title, and the follow up which came packed in with an accessory. Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, two titles that were fun for everyone who picked the controller up. So, time for some fun memories of two games that were fun to play with friends, and just as fun to relax with on a Sunday afternoon, don't forget your wrist straps and check your surroundings as I look back at Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.  Even though when I first got my Wii, I was also given Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and my first ever Wii Points card to get a couple downloads, Wii Sports was still a game I poured many hours into.  Baseball and boxing were my absolute favorites, but I played all the sports packed in. I was ex

Cruis'n Blast

(Image Source: Gamingbolt dot com) Today is a good day for some high octane, arcade style racing! A good go to series to do that is the Cruis'n series from USA and World in the arcade as well as on N64 back in the day, to the latest entry Cruis'n Blast. This can be found in arcades, and on your Nintendo Switch, with the arcade game also being published by Nintendo.  Recently, at my local movie theater I discovered there was a machine for Cruis'n Blast, and I just had to try it, and since I got the game as a Christmas present last year. So, let's rev up our engines or in some cases our unicorns and see if this is an arcade racer worth adding to your Switch's library. The arcade machine was pretty fun to play, it had four tracks and cost one dollar to play, with a few customizations option, a couple vehicles to choose, and adding a couple extra boosts to your car. It was a ton of fun, controlled well and brought me back to the arcade racers of my childhood. The game

Mighty Goose

After reviewing Untitled Goose Game for April Fools day, I wanted to see if there were any more goose based gaming adventures. Surely enough there was, on Xbox Game Pass! A game that was like contra, with some fun bonuses, and the ability.. to honk on command, very aggressively. Time to dive in for a quick look if you should install Mighty Goose, and if you have other consoles it is available on those as well, Switch, PlayStation, and Steam. This game has a simple narrative, goose bounty hunter takes on evil galactic empire, and that is the plot. There are some stages to go through, a little bit of dialogue here and there and some things to do after the credits roll. The game took me about three hours to beat and I tackled the main story only for this review. The music did not really stand out to me, but the sprite work was really good, the game looks fantastic. In this game you roll, use a variety of weapons and vehicles, jump and go from stage to stage, and of course aggressively ho

Untitled Goose Game: A Chaotic Good Time

Image
(Image Source: USgamer) As of this post it is April 1st a day of pranks, jokes, and in hopefully most cases good fun. Joke responsibly and consider others but on this day, there is a way to cause havoc in super fun way. It is always a perfect day to boot up your favorite current system of choice and to be, a very evil goose. If today is the day for pranks, then this game is the perfect game for that, but if you are reading this after, this game is still fantastic any day you decide to play it.  A puzzle game set in a small town, you begin as a goose who can flap its wings, run, bend your head, bite and hold objects with your mouth, and of course honk. When in doubt just honk. At the beginning of every area, you are given a check list if you pause the game, giving you tasks to ruin the days of the citizens this goose has decided to terrorize. From putting a rake in a lake, to messing with a store, each area has the same number of objectives and most of them stand out. Most areas have
