Kirby And The Forgotten Land Review(Spoiler Free)

This review is going to be very open ended as the game I am covering has not even been out for a week at the time of this post. That being said this game is amazing. I covered the demo and now it is time to venture into the Forgotten Land, but first some things to mention before starting. I will not be diving deep into the game but rather sharing my thoughts, I will go into depth at a later date that is not set as of now. I will talk about presentation, and gameplay with as minimal detail as possible, using the trailers shown in Nintendo Directs to go off of. With that all settled, it's time to see if 3D works for the pink puff. This game is now one of my favorite Kirby games alongside Planet Robobot and SuperStar Ultra. This series works in 3D so well. The cutscenes are all amazing and well presented, the visuals on this game pop in all the right ways and look amazing. The music is also super well made, the level themes, boss music, and all of the songs are in this game fit so wel

The Mitchells V.S The Machines

This movie is incredible. I saw it once last year when it launched on Netflix, I was excited because it was from the same team who made "Spider-Man Into The Spiderverse".  I have watched it many times since, own the DVD, and it was one of my favorite movies of the year and in recent memory. A movie with a relatable family dynamic, fantastic and well timed comedy, and a ton of heart. This film is "The Mitchells V.S The Machines". I'm going to keep details light as I plan on going more in depth in a future post, so think of this as a spoiler free review. The basic plot can be found in the title and a trailer or two. This film follows a midwestern family as they must help save the world from certain doom. Our leads are made of a father who has some catching up to do with modern trends, a caring mom, our lead who is the eldest child and a super creative, college bound daughter, a son who has an unlikely past time, and a adorable dog who can not look straight ahead.

Kirby Planet Robobot: My Favorite Kirby Game

As we get closer and closer to the release of Kirby and The Forgotten Land, my hype is through the roof. At the time of this post the game is mere days away from release so since I covered one of the 3DS titles, I decided to run through the other. For the longest time Kirby Superstar Ultra was my favorite Kirby game, but that changed with the announcement and release of Kirby Planet Robobot. I have played this game many times, and after revesting and really enjoying Kirby Triple Deluxe, and even though I still really like that game and recommend it, I found a couple of aspects I did not like as much as I used to. Well it's time to open the 3DS and see if this is still my favorite game starring the pink puff.   I am going to go over the gameplay and game itself this time first and then cover the presentation before ending. I will say the graphics and music are amazing. The story is told throughout the game and like the title before, more story is told if you pause during certain bo

Kirby Triple Deluxe: A Short Sweet Treat

With the arrival of "Kirby And The Forgotten Land" fast approaching, I decided to revisit and cover some older titles and see how they hold up. Starting with the 3DS game Triple Deluxe! Let's open the 3DS and see how the pink puffs first platforming adventure for the system fares. This adventure has our hero going far from his home to a kingdom above the clouds, though the plot is standard, "Stop this villain" fare, it has a few surprises, I recommend pausing during major boss fights as there is lore added to those, sometimes deeper than expected, sometimes with a nice reference to a past game. There are a few cutscenes that look fantastic for the system as well. Each cutscene whether in game or standalone adds a good touch of charm without fail every time. In terms of presentation this game looks and sounds fantastic. The game is vibrant and each music piece is full of the bouncy fun one would expect for this series. From the levels and power up themes, to the

Super Mario Odessey Is Awesome (Nintendo Switch)

Image
(Image Source: Nintendo Life Dot Com) Today is in fact MAR10 Day, and I wish a happy Mario themed day to all. This series is one of if not my absolute favorite in all of gaming, from the main games, to the spin offs, and more. This series has always brought joy to my life, and I decided to talk about one of my favorite entries in the franchise. This game made me want to buy a Nintendo Switch more then ever before when I saw it being shown at E3 that year, and my mother gave this game to me as a gift for graduating college. So instead of doing a big review, I decided to reminisce a little instead, and talk about everything I love in this game. This game controls fantastically, the amount of mobility you have in this game is next to none and the amount of cool tricks you can do is fantastic. The added bonus of using Cappy to become enimies is super well implemented and leads to a ton of fun platforming and level, but also he can be used for combat and to add to the already giant move po

Awesome Female Content Creators You Should Follow

Today is International Women's Day, and to celebrate I wanted to share about some amazing women in the creative space, that should get your support one hundred percent. These content creators do so well with what they do, and the art they make is incredible. Each of these amazing creators inspire, uplift, and brighten the days around them with what they make, including mine, so I wanted to share and talk about them. Doughnut Doodles Art done in a fantastic style and in so many ways. From portraits to full body, to twitch emotes. This artist has such a great style. She posts often and each piece is a treat to see. Whether it is art about fandom pieces, an emote for a streamer or a fun piece for a series. Each of the art pieces at Doughnut Doodles are fantastic. I have commissioned her for a few pieces and her work is fantastic and super fun, and she is great to work with, her art is super good! I love her Steven Universe pieces especially, her art style works so well with the charac

Kirby And The Forgotten Land (Demo)

This game may be coming out soon but when I saw the demo in the Eshop, I could not contain my excitement and had to give this a look. Here are my thoughts on the demo of Kirby And The Forgotten Land. Kirby is one of if not my favorite Nintendo franchise and I have been eagerly awaiting this game since it was shown, so let's see what this land has in store. The pink puff's first true adventure in 3D, we had Kirby 64 with 3D elements and Kirby Blowout Blast as a minigame but this is the first game that is the what the series is known for in full 3D. A new threat looms and our hero must stop it. He will use his staple copy abilities which can now be upgraded, some new ones that did not appear in this demo and the new mouthful mode. Mouthful mode was playable in the demo and it is a blast, Kirby will engulf and then use certain objects such as a car, a vending machine and so one. The demo was a good length, just giving a good taste of what is to come without giving too much away.

Update

Hey everyone, thank you so much for reading the posts so far. I needed a small break from things but now I am back with tons of ideas, and I cannot wait to share them. But one thing I will say is that even though this blog is going to be mostly about games, the blog and the podcast are going to expand their content. I will now also cover comics, movies, cartoons, and more. Basically, anything that I am nerdy about or want to talk about.  Also until further notice, the Advance Wars retrospective is delayed, due to current world events. It was started before these events came to be but at this moment I am deciding to put a pause on that and cover other things. This blog and the podcast will still have tons of games of all types being covered but I wanted to try something new, and if it does not work, I will go back to just covering games. But I want to try something new and add some new kinds of content to the lineup. Thank you so much for reading and listening and I cannot wait to shar
