5 SEGA Franchises I Want To See Come Back

SEGA has such a huge selection of awesome franchises besides Sonic, and sometimes they may get a new entry or remake like Streets Of Rage or Alex Kidd but many are left out. So I decided to pick a few that I think should get a new entry or at least a remaster on modern console so more people can play these games. In no order here are five SEGA series that I think need some more time in the spotlight. Crazy Taxi With the release of Taxi Chaos, it shows we all need a new Crazy Taxi game or at least a collection. The amazing music, awesome environment, and great challenges, all bundled together would make for a fun and super awesome collection.  Comix Zone  This game looked and played amazing but was tough as nails, give it a new coat of paint and make it more accessible and we could have a super amazing remake or a game that was a stand out on the SEGA Genesis.  Gunstar Heroes  This game has been on modern consoles, and the team that made it no longer exists but games like Streets Of Ra

WarioWare Get It Together Demo

Image
(Image Source: Nintendo Insider) There are so many games coming out this Fall even after a super busy Summer with tons of games such as Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Neo The World Ends With You, And Monster Hunter Stories 2. With the great Fall line up such as Metroid Dread, Super Monkey Ball Bananamania, and more there is also a brand new WarioWare game coming. This one centered on multiplayer, a large cast, all while still having the same whacky, fast pace style the series known for.  For those who have not played any games in this series, you play a series of fast paced mini games. Complete a simple task such as dodging or cleaning and get a point, mess up and you lose a life. The game will get faster, and harder as you go until you run our of lives, then you are scored and the process starts over. Simple, charming, whacky fun.  This game is fast approaching its early September release date, but a few weeks in advance Nintendo dropped a demo so I decided to give it a look. This de

Pokémon Pinball The Comeback We Need (Or At Least I Really Want)

There are a good number of pinball games that I plan on covering in the future but this one I will talk about now, and probably later, and with a direct for this series coming in a couple days at the time of this post, now is as good as time as any to talk about Pokémon Pinball.  This series is one of a kind, and is so fun, only receiving two entries so far it is pinball at its absolute best. With the release of New Pokémon Snap, it made me optimistic for a return of classic franchise like Pokémon Stadium or the one I will discuss today. It combined what we loved about each of these types of games into a perfect blend of nonstop fun.  If you have not played this entails not just a game of pinball with a Pokémon theme but also catching the, playing mini games, and building a Pokédex as you traverse the different boards. Each map having its own set of Pokémon to catch and collect, different themes, and different surprises. The minigames also changed making it a great incentive to play bo

Steamworld Heist

Image
(Image Source: Nintendo.com.za) Some time ago I covered Steamworld Dig, a fantastic game that has you traversing a randomly generated mine in search of loot with a simple story that unfolds over time. But before I get to Steamworld Dig 2, there was a game that came out in-between those two that was a whole different style of game, and whole other genre, a game that takes us away from the underground and into the vast recesses of space. Steamworld Heist has a whole new cast, a whole new narrative, and whole new way to play the game. But was this departure good or should the team have kept with their winning formula? Let's see. This takes the game from a metroidvania style game with exploration, and turns it into a turn based strategy game. You take control of Captain Piper Faraday as she must deal with space gangs, an evil empire, and more threats throughout space. As you continue the games story you can build your crew with a great amount of characters all packing their own uniqu

Biolab Wars And Blazing Chrome : New Takes On A Classic Series(Double Review)

Image
(Image Source: GBA Temp) Contra is a series that has seen many changes over the years, most evident with the game Contra Rouge Corps last year, and now the series has recently returned in the form of a mobile game. But For those who want to play them in their classic form there is the Contra Collection on most modern consoles. The games in their original forms with a couple bells and whistles thrown in. But perhaps you have the collection and want something new. Well I have two titles for you today, welcome to my first ever double review. I will cover both games and help you decide if you would like to pick up one or both of these games.                 (Image Source: Screen Rant) In terms of stories, both are just like the classic series they harken back to. Save the world from a threat whether mutant or alien.  The games have a couple of opening cutscenes akin to the classic games. Biolab operates more as a NES style game while Blazing Chrome is a 16 bit venture. Both emulate the g

5 GameCube Ports I Want

The GameCube is becoming harder and harder to collect for as of late. Even with some consoles having some games that vary in price but with Mario 3D All Stars, I realized a quick fix. Put more GameCube games on switch, and I decided to pick a couple that would be great ports and people would love. If Mario Sunshine worked, these could as well, so here are five GameCube ports I would love to have on switch. Pokémon Coliseum/ XD Gale Of Darkness With all of the hype behind Pokemon lately, now just might be the time to bring one of its most popular spin offs back. This game is heavily single player focused and could lead to another great pair of RPGS for the system Custom Robo This series is fantastic, and even though it only had two entries, the one on Gamecube was fun, had a cool story, and great gameplay, plus bringing this game back could revitalize the series Mario Kart Double Dash Everyone one wants it and I do too, a ton of fun and one of the best racing games ever Chibi Robo Som

Golf With Friends

Over the past weekend at the time of this post, Golf With Friends was free on Steam, and is now on sale at the time of this post. I had already purchased the game on a previous sale but have only played it now. So was I better off waiting and playing this game for free for a short weekend? Or was this worth the money? Let's dive in and find out, this will mostly be my thoughts rather then a review as I have played this game a grand total of once but played a ton of courses with friends and wanted to share.  This game takes mini golf to the extreme, whether single player, or online with friends. With a myriad of courses and options to make your own, all tied in with simple controls and a charming aesthetic. This game is controlled simply but clicking, dragging your mouse and releasing. There are a couple power ups to use, and a menu but the controls are simple and very easy to learn. The game's music was ho hum but the presentation is spot on, a ton of fun detail went into the
